Vosne-Romanée "Hautes-Maizières"
The 65-year-old plat of 48 ares, is cultivated with massal selection. The plot is located just below the 1st growth Les Suchots. Here, the limestone base descends to limestone with Entroques.
The clay-limestone soils are deeper (between 60 and 80 cm thick) than in other Vosne-Romanée "village" plots. More fertile, they facilitate easier vine nourishment. The plot is frequently grass-covered to encourage the roots to delve into the limestone substrate.
