Chambolle-Musigny 1er cru

"La Combe d’Orveau"

The plot of 81.55 ares with vines over 75 years old for half, plus a quarter of 20-year-old vines. The remaining part was replanted in 2010 and won't be used in the blend for several years. Ideal location facing east, protected from cold winds. Complex soil with oolitic limestone and quartzose limestone. Adjacent to Petits-Musigny (a plot classified as AOC Grand Cru Musigny) it was classified as Tête de Cru before the phylloxera. It offers a noble profile, combining great finesse with mineral depth, all in verticality, in the martial spirit of its neighbouring Musigny.
