Vosne-Romanée 1er cru "Aux Brulées"
A small plots of 29.50 ares with vines over 65 years old is situated in the upper part of La Combe-Brulée. The limestone base is composed of chert limestone (Prémeaux limestone). The presence of gravel allows a rapid warming. Coupled with a pronounced slope, it provides a good drainage capacity, enabling the vines to thrive in humid years.
This plot benefits from both the warmth of its south-southeast exposure and the coolness created by the air current descending from the mountain into the combe. This balanced situation produces an elegant wine. Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Brulées is often the most subtle premier cru in the cellar.
