Vosne-Romanée 1er cru
"Les Beaux-Monts"
The domain's plot covers 49.60 ares in the middle part of the cru with East-Southeast exposure. The 65 years old vines were planted through massal selection just after the Second World War. The vineyard is well-ventilated, sun-soaked, with ample brightness.
The soil, composed of red ocher clay and stones, reaches a depth of 30 to 40 cm, resting on a substrate that combines oolithic limestone and harder limestone (Comblanchien/Prémeaux) appearing in some places. The pronounced stoniness and slope ensure excellent drainage.
